Role
The role of the DCC is to coordinate all GC's within the clan and cascade announcements and orders throughout the clan. The DCC role is very active and a friendly but strict approach is required when keeping GC's and their SL's in line with latest orders. The DCC will often have to deal with interclan disputes that the GC's are unable to resolve, when your complaint or problem has reached the DCC you better hope you are not on the wrong side of the fence! The DCC is the communities watchdog and voice and ensures the GC's are coordinating their sections correctly and listening properly to the SL's, DSL's, CM's & CR's concerns, issues, ideas and commendments. GC's will often go to the DCC for advice for their section and his/her role is very rarely direct. After dealing with SL's and GC's moans, groans and concerns the DCC is also the CC's advisor and the CC's will listen to orders that have been passed up the CoC and then send them back down once a conclusion has been drawn. The DCC updates the CC's on all the latest changes and decisions he has made or given to GC's and their sections. The accountability of this role is high.

Responsibilities
The DCC must listen to GC's concerns and enquiries for advice or input, a strict and 'no fuss' approach is often taken to ensure each section runs smoothly and that the members of each section are happy and have fun while gaming. The DCC is accountable for all decisions made that are not discussed with the CC rank. The DCC must be able to have a critical eye and a good sense of judgement, maturity must come as standard, sense of humour however is often found to be optional. The DCC must professionally and maturely be able to commend Game Sections for their good results or efforts but also have a sharp edge to ensure when a whole Game Section goes belly-up, the person is found and held to account for their actions and relevant disceplinary measures are taken. A harsh but rewarding role, if you have a occasionally friendly DCC, count yourself lucky! The DCC must advise CC's on all major clan decisions and in the event of a vote, her/she will be allowed to vote if they please.

• Esculates issues to: CC, if not resolved raise them with CC for a vote.

• Can:
  • Issue promotions and demotions.
  • Approve or Decline new applicants to the clan.
  • Request and enforce formal and large changes to a game section (Must consult CC rank)
  • Call meetings with GC's and their relevant SL's to assist coordination of a section
  • Create, coordinate and abolish specific squads
  • Give orders to GC to improve sections
  • Transmit, communicate and enfore clans policies and disceplinary routes - i.e demote, suspend, remove rights etc
  • Dismiss members from within the clan
  • Influence other Game Sections and set targets
• Can't:
  • Make decisions that will affect the clan as a whole
  • Dismiss GC's directly.

If the DCC is not active or present for a period of 2 weeks the GC's and CC's will take on the roles and responsibilities of ADCC or (Acting Deputy Clan Commander) and are shared out between the GC's and CC's by the CC ranks only. If DCC does not return within 2 months, after consulting with the CC's succession to the rank of DCC is automatic for 1 GC by vote of SL, GC and CC ranks. It is down to the GC's to keep track of dates and timeframes, not the CC's.
